Water Fight!!!!

"Can we play water-balloons??" Is what we heard come from Blake's mouth about 20 times a day for the 2 weeks following when I bought a bag of them. Needless to say the weather took a turn for the cold and rainy.....so we didn't get to break them out until last Sunday night. Eric couldn't fill them up fast enough, then Blake would throw one at me. After about 10, we put them away and hooked the sprinkler up instead.

Olivia Loves the sprinkler and had her 1st trip to play at the splash pad tonight. Last year she went a couple times, but hung out in the stroller. She thought it was hilarious.

Blake got "cold" after a few minutes, so just hung out on the lawn.

Time to rinse off....BRRRRR!

Around the House

Well it's been a rainy rainy week. Looking forward to getting some sun in the near future....otherwise my "crops" aren't going to do so great. We had abot 2.5 inches of rain on Tuesday in about 2 hours, many streets in St.Cloud were flooded....so it made an interesting drive after work to get the kids from daycare and go home. When we got home, I went down to the basement to discover water. Yay....every homeowners dream, right! I got most of it cleaned up while the kids ate dinner, Eric finished the rest when he got home. Hopefully it didn't cause much damage.





Below is one of our 1st red strawberries! We have planted 5 strawberry plants, as well as zuchinni, 2 types of tomatoes, peppers and some herbs. We also are trying our hand at carrots....if the rabbits and squirrels don't get to them 1st. Their greens have just popped out of the soil in the last week.








The start of the tomatoes and peppers.....this was about 2 weeks ago, they are 2 times this size now. Once we get some heat after this rain, they are going to get even bigger!




Mrs.Spider that I found while cleaning up the water mess in our basement. Looked like some sort of Widow to me, but Eric thinks it's just a cobweb spider.....either way we got rid of it and it's 2 egg sacs. I'm not a spider fan, and having an old house with a basement we tend to have several kinds of all sizes. Ewww!

Wedding

One of Eric's cousins got married yesterday, our 1st wedding in quite a while. It was fun to get dressed up and enjoy the beautiful day with family.

Blake kept asking about the "white princess"....meaning Eric's cousin the Bride. It was so cute. He was a bit smitten with her and kept wanting to dance with her. So cute. Olivia had fun running the halls of the reception hall, and doing some dancing.

Summer is here!

Summa-Summa-Summatime.....oh yes, it has arrived! Finally. After a very cool spring, we jumped right into summer with highs in the 90's today in MN. This last weekend was gorgeous, with temps in the mid-70's....but I love finally getting some heat! That means it was time to invest in a fun sprinkler for the kids and get outside after dinner. We invited our neighbor-friend Weston and his mommy over to play. I think the kids actually had more fun just running around the yard and playing in the mud puddle that the sprinkler made.


Running through the water....this girl loves the water a lot more than her brother did. Hopefully she will enjoy the splash pad too!
