Devil's Tower

Moving to God's country has made me appreciate so much more in life.  There is so much to enjoy and see and take part of.  If you don't travel....you should start....now!  When you're around things like this awesome monument you realize just how little you are in the world, and how amazing things like this are created.  I think I was most in awe of the square shaped pillars that are part of Devil's Tower, so much in nature is round that the square was just so intriguing. We took the trip here on a whim coming out of the foggy clouds in Spearfish, and thank goodness we came.  The clouds had lifted and it was spectacular. I can't wait to see more of Wyoming in the near future, the views we had coming from SD were stunning.

Spearfish Canyon SD

One more amazing beautiful place checked off our Bucket list (will be visited several more times)....the Spearfish Canyon in SD.  Amazing views all around, so cool to see what has been created for the world to enjoy.  We hiked to Devil's bathtub, then took a drive to see Bridal Veil falls and Roughlock Falls.  When we first arrived it was a bit drizzly and very overcast, the clouds were hanging really low, but a few times the sky opened up and showed us the sun.  The water in all the streams was so crystal clear, and the pines so fragrant.

Visitors!

We had our first Visitors!  Right after school started, Chuck & Denise drove out to spend the weekend with us.  We took them out to Medora for some hiking (even though it was 95 out....with not much breeze).  After we cooled off and had dinner, we enjoyed the Medora Musical.  Blake also pulled out his 3rd tooth at the musical!

Mt Rushmore

Before school started up we decided to take a little trip down to Mt Rushmore for a weekend.  It's so much closer to us now, so a much easier car ride with the kids.  We camped close to the "Money Men" and toured around with all the "Sturgis Bikers".

School!

Houston we have a Kindergartener (yes this blog is almost a month over due as we are in week 5 of school now)!!  Blake is loving Kindergarten, and Olivia is loving being home with me.  We have a pretty set schedule now already too.  Olivia and I go to Story time on Tuesdays, and Blake has soccer on Tuesday and Thursdays.  We are meeting more and more new friends, so we are feeling much more at home now!
